Our Team
At Capitol PT, our team goes above and beyond to deliver personalized care with treatment plans that cater to your unique pain or limitations.
You can have peace of mind knowing that you’re working with a team of physical therapists who hold Doctoral level degrees, and most hold additional certifications like Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (OCS), Sports Clinical Specialists (SCS), and Women’s Health Clinical Specialists (WCS).
We’re dedicated to ensuring that all of our patients have a level of care and support that simply isn’t available anywhere else.
Every member of the Capitol PT family has their own focus and specialties, but we all hold a set of shared standards and beliefs.
Our shared standards:
Long-term solutions delivered by teaching the mental, physical and emotional experience behind your pain or recovery.
Compassionate care that connects how your body moves (biomechanical science) with how your brain works (neuroscience).
Treating patients like family to provide a solid foundation for connection and healing.
Julie Lombardo PT, DPT, OCS, WCS
CEOJulie Lombardo PT, DPT, OCS, WCS
CEOJulie is the CEO of Capitol Physical Therapy.
Capitol PT was born out of a desire to do things differently. Having practiced in another state, I knew things in Wisconsin could be done better, and that the people here deserved more. I opened the doors in 2004 as a one-(wo)man-show. Over the years, our staff and services have continued to grow and thrive.
The desire to grow our service areas came from different life experiences. Having grown up an athlete, orthopedics as the base was a no-brainer. A closeness to my grandparents and the opportunity to develop a major local seniors-based therapy department from the ground up were catalysts to building our seniors division. Having children spurred the expansion of our women’s health and pelvic health areas. Most recently, my personal experience with breast cancer was the source and meaning behind the growth of our oncology division. Life experiences, although not always easy, have shaped the way I lead others, expand our services areas, and make a difference in others’ lives. There’s a silver lining in everything if we’re open to seeing it.
A life-long learner, I have always pursued further education, including earning advanced board certifications in both orthopedics and women’s health and then achieving my Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. My two greatest accomplishments to date include being awarded Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association’s Private Practice of the Year in 2016, and one of InBusiness Magazine’s Women of Industry award recipients in 2017. Our team works extremely hard at serving others, and I am grateful for the opportunity to lead them.
Outside of work, I love water skiing, weight lifting, entertaining, and spending time with my husband, and two boys.
